About the Participating Wineries

Alpha Omega

Alpha Omega, located in Rutherford in the heart of Napa Valley, is one of Napa’s newest boutique wineries. Surrounded by vineyards and mountains, the beauty of this rustic, farm-style winery is as captivating as its wine. 

Enjoy a barrel sample of our Reserve Chardonnay 2011, handcrafted by our winemaker Jean Hoefliger and world renowned consulting winemaker Michel Rolland. Alpha Omega vintner Robin Baggett will prepare from scratch his "almost famous" Brunswick stew with toasted cornbread, paired with the Reserve Chardonnay. We will also be pouring other signature AO wines. For the Winter Passport, we will be offering a 10% bottle discount, and a 20% case discount on all wine purchases. Club Members will receive at 30% discount off wine purchases.

BEAULIEU VINEYARD

For more than a century, Beaulieu Vineyard has been Napa Valley’s benchmark winery.  BV is a rich part of the history and heritage of Napa Valley’s winemaking industry and continues to produce high-quality, award-winning wines -- particularly Cabernet Sauvignon.  For over 100 years, our philosophy has always been to honor the exceptional fruit of our estate vineyards with the kind of meticulous, hands-on winemaking that brings out their finest expression. 

BV will be featuring three wines for the Holiday Passport - our 2010 Carneros Chardonnay and our 2012 Carneros Pinot Noir Ranch #5, and a barrel sample of our 2011 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon. These wines will be paired with individual quiches. We will be offering 20% discount of any current wines for Passport Weekend.

Conn Creek Winery

Nearly forty years after its founding, Conn Creek is still focused on what Napa Valley does best: Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varietals. In keeping with its heritage, Conn Creek secures grapes from nearly all of Napa Valley’s renowned sub-appellations that are proven to grow exceptional grapes that produce wines of character and expression. It’s an approach that captures the “Best of Napa Valley” and provides winemaker Mike McGrath with an unparalled palette from which to blend each wine and vintage.

Conn Creek will be offering two, very limited production wines for Passport holders: Our 2010 Sauvignon Blanc and our 2010 Cabernet Franc. In addition, we will be pouring our Anthology, our flagship, Bordeaux-style red wine. Along with the wines, we will be serving toasty warm bites, perfect for a winter day. We will be offering a 10% discount on all wine purchases, and a 30% discount on 6 or more bottles of the 2010 Sauvignon Blanc.

Elizabeth Spencer

At Elizabeth Spencer, our belief is that wine should be delicious and representative of its appellation of origin. We make wines to drink -- inviting wines tht we, our friends, and by extension our customers, truly enjoy.

For this holiday Passport, we will pour 2011 Rutherford Chardonnay and 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and pair this with a Herbed Goat Cheese on "Toasted" Crostini.  We will offer all passport holders 10% off on any purchases from Friday through Sunday. Wine purchases will be made around the corner from the Grange, in our tasting room on Rutherford Road.

Foley Family Wines

Located along Highway 29 in the prestigious Rutherford AVA, Foley Johnson exemplifies the understated elegance and casual warmth of the Valley. The winery produces two tiers of wine: Napa Valley and Handmade. The Napa Valley tier focuses on Bordeaux varieties primarily from the nearly 50 acres of estate vineyards surrounding the winery. The Handmade tier features special small-lot bottlings from many of the renowned California winemakers in the Foley Family wine group of wineries.

For the Toast to Rutherford Passport, we will be pouring our 2009 Foley Johnson Handmade Cabernet (only 110 cases produced), paired with toasted spiced nuts, along with complimentary tasting of any of our current release wines in our tasting room. Passport holders will receive a 15% discount on any wine purchase.

Frank Family Vineyards

Housed in the historic Larkmean Winery in Napa Valley, Frank Family vineyards produces wines that live up to the heritage of the land on which they are produced. With premium vineyards located in Rutherford and Carneros, as well as other Napa Valley locations, our winemaker Todd Graff creates an array of amazing wines. Our tasting room on Larkmead Lane is well known for its fun atmosphere and memorable tastings. We are excited to be participating in our first Rutherford Passport Weekend.

Grgich Hills

Located in the heart of the Napa Valley, Grgich Hills Estate is family owned and operated, and practices the art of winemaking. We believe that great wines start in the vineyard, which is why we farm our vineyards using organic and Biodynamic principles.

We will be featuring two special wines for the Holiday Passport Weekend: our 2008 Petite Sirah and our 2011 Essence (our limited release Sauvignon Blanc). Wines will be paired with culinary creations by Kinyon Culinary Services. And especially for Passport holders, we are offering a 15% discount off retail for bottle purchases, and 20% off case purchases.

Hewitt Vineyard

The spot that was to become Hewitt Vineyard first came under vine in 1880, when Dennis Hanrahan planted the parcel bordering Inglenook. William A. Hewitt, head of Deere & Company (John Deere) from 1955 to 1982, bought the vineyard in 1962. He enlisted the assistance of Beaulieu Vineyard’s famed winemaker Andre Tchelistcheff in replanting the site to Cabernet Sauvignon. Winemaker Tom Rinaldi is proud to have been be the first to craft a single-vineyard expression of the Hewitt Vineyard Estate – the inaugural 2001 Hewitt Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon.

Hewitt is pleased to participate in the 2012 Holiday Passport Weekend. We will pour a barrel sample of our 2008 Hewitt Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon.

Honig Vineyard & Winery

Our grandfather, Louis Honig, purchased our Rutherford vineyard in 1964, and we've been making award winning Sauvignon blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon since 1980. We farm sustainably, power our winery with solar energy, and were one of the first wineries to earn the California Sustainable Winegrowing Certification. We welcome Passport guests to our table - to share good wine, good food, and make good friends.

For the Holiday Passport Weekend, we will be pouring a barrel sample of our Campbell Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, along with our newly released 2011 Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc, paired with mimolette grilled cheese fingers and butternut squash soup from Oak Avenue Catering. Passport holders are also welcome to try any of our current release wines in our tasting room, at no charge, and all purchases will be discounted by 15%.

J Moss

J. Moss is a small family wine business established in 2000 by James & Janet Moss. In order to ensure that J. Moss wines will always be of the highest quality, they produce limited quantities from award winning Napa Valley appellations and vineyards. They primarily specialize in high end Cabernet Sauvignon wines. Their goal is to produce not just good wines, but great wines. Their winemaking style is to produce complex, intense and elegantly balanced wines that emphasize their varietal characteristics. The wines reflect the attention to detail of their portfolio of cult wines and appeal to everyday wine drinkers and connoisseurs alike. The quality, passion and care that goes into J. Moss wine is evident in every glass.

We will be pouring our 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Rutherford, our 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Ponti Road Vineyard Rutherford, and our5 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Poni Road Vineyard Rutherford.

Meander Wines

Meander is the personal project of winemaker Amy Aiken, who has been crafting wines in Napa Valley since 1989.  Amy’s first Meander Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley was from the 2003 vintage.  Created in a bold yet balanced style, Meander wines are handcrafted to represent the nuances of each vintage whether you drink them now or years to come.    The Conspire label was created as a playground for Amy to “conspire” with different growers and varietals.  Both Meander and Conspire feature small lot, handcrafted wines sourced from boutique vineyards in Rutherford, St. Helena and Russian River Valley.
Passport guests will be treated to 2010 Conspire Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc, 2006 Meander Napa Valley Cabernet and a special barrel sample from the 2010 vintage. These tastes will be paired with a scrumptious sweet potato and leek soup. Passport holders will receive a 10% discount on all wine purchases. Meander will be pouring at the Rutherford Grange.

Mumm Napa Valley

For more than 20 years, Mumm Napa sparkling wines have set the standard for California méthode champenoise, emphasizing natural ripeness and exceptional Napa Valley fruit.  A winery noted for its friendly staff and outstanding sparkling wines, it also offers its guests some of the most spectacular views of “Rutherford” vineyards!     Mumm Napa is also noted for its commitment to fine art photography.   The present exhibit showcases 27 original prints by the legendary landscape photographer Ansel Adams.

Mumm Napa is pleased to offer a  Passport holders a bubbly holiday celebration, with our Brut Reserve poured from a magnum, paired perfectly with a winter leek & German buterball potato soup with crostini. On this special weekend, passport members receive 30% off all Magnums! Bring in the New Year with Bubbles!

Peju Province Winery

 It was the love of farming and a passion for wine that brought Tony and Herta Peju to the Napa Valley more than 25 years ago. Their humble winemaking efforts began inside the garage, then a makeshift tasting room, and have since grown Peju into one of Napa Valley’s most notable landmarks and a celebrated winery operation. Lisa and Ariana Peju have also joined the family business and have spearheaded our earth-friendly programs, including organic certification in the Rutherford Vineyard and solar power. We have also earned certification as a Napa Green Winery and Bay Area Green Business.

Holiday Passport holders, join Peju for a triple toast to Rutherford! We will talk toast, as in barrels, we will toast with wonderful Cabernets, and sample toasty treats from the Peju kitchen. We will be pouring our 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet, 2007 Estate Cabernet Reserve, and a barrel sample of our Rutherford Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. Chef Emily will prepare warm panini samples, (wild mushroom and gruyere; grilled pepper, Pt. Reyes Tome, and roast beef; sausage and sauerkraut). Passport holders will also receive a special weekend discount of 15% off on current release purchases (Napa Valley Tier), as well as the 2007 Estate Cabernet Reserve.

Pina Napa Valley

Piña Napa Valley is a small Family winery, owned by the four Piña Brothers, and known for taking Vineyard designated Cabernets.  The family has been making its home in the Napa Valley since 1856 when their great-great-grandfather Bluford Stice led a wagon train into the valley from Missouri.  Our parents started Piña Vineyard Management almost 50 years ago, and the kitchen in our home was a meeting place for local growers and farm workers. Today, at our small family winery we take pride in sharing with you the proud traditions of farming and winemaking passed down to us over many generations."

For this year's Rutherford Passport, Pina is proud to offer a selection of our amazing vineyard designate Cabernet Sauvignons. We will be serving our 2009 Rutherford Firehouse Vineyard Cabernet, 2007 Napa Valley D'Adamo Vineyard Cabernet, 2008 Howell Mountain Buckeye Vineyard Cabernet, and for something sweet, our 2009 Oak Knoll Low Vineyard Late Harvest Chardonnay. For the barrel sample we will be offering our 2011 Rutherford Firehouse Vineyard Cabernet. For your food pairing pleasure, we will be serving tri-tip sliders with carmelized onion tapenade, and to finish...our famous triple chocolate brownies.

Provenance Vineyards

Provenance focuses on Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as producing smaller amounts of Napa Valley Merlot and Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc. We also offer a limited production of vineyard-designated wines from some of Napa's most prestigious vineyards. Provenance Vineyards creates hand crafted wines from some of the best fruit grown in the Rutherford appellation.

Join us for the Holiday Passport, where we will be pouring our 2011 Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc, paired with  La Brea Crostini (fava bean pate/Pecorino/Thyme/Lemon zest), as well as our 2009 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon, paired with filet of beef and roma salsa on flatbread. Passport holders will receive a 15% discount off both of these wines.

Raymond Winery

One of Napa Valley’s iconic, pioneering wineries with roots in the earliest foundations of winegrowing in Napa, Raymond Vineyards celebrated its first harvest in 1974.  The original 90-acre estate in Rutherford has expanded to 300 acres throughout the Napa Valley.  Five generations of the Raymond family imbued the winery with a sense of its deep roots in the Napa Valley, and the winery has built an enduring reputation for elegant wines with a beautiful balance of finesse, power and complexity.

Join us for the Holiday Passport Weekend, where we will be pouring our 2011 Napa Valley Reserve Chardonnay, our 2008 Rutherford Merlot (100% Merlot), our 2011 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet), and our 2008 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet). To accompany these wines, we will serve a Beef Bourgignon. Passport holders will receive a 10% discount off wine purchases.

St. Supery Vineyards & Winery

St. Supéry is a family owned winery and one of a handful of Napa Valley wineries to grow all its own grapes. Our vineyards are sustainably farmed and certified Napa Green, ensuring our reputation for outstanding Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Discerning winemaker selections result in the creation of prestige blends Élu (red) and Virtú (white), and single vineyard Dollarhide and Rutherford Cabernets.

Visit the new renovated tasting rooms and art gallery at St. Supery Estate during Passport Weekend. Guests will taste the 2009 Rutherford Estate Vineyard Merlot, and the 2007 Rutherford Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, both paired with thoughtful nibbles. Sullivan Vineyards

For 32 years the Sullivan family has been producing award winning wines from their estate on Galleron Rd in Rutherford.  This boutique luxury producer specializes in estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and other blends.

Tres Sabores Winery

We welcome you to join us and explore the “Three Tastes” in  every wine:  the taste of the terroir, the vine, and the spirit of the people gathered ‘round the glass together.Our small, family-owned ranch on the western Rutherford Benchland of California’s Napa Valley produces organically certified Zinfandel, Cabernet, Petite Sirah, and Petit Verdot grapes, olives, Meyer lemons, and exotic pomegranate cultivars.  We also make a vibrant Sauvignon blanc from Farina Vineyard on Sonoma Mountain. At Tres Sabores, as stewards of the land, we’re devoted to exploring the character of the grapes we grow and producing wines that truly reflect the “voice” of the vineyard.

Join us at Tres Sabores on Saturday only. Discover a wide range of savory pairings with our wines - toasted breads from ABC Bakery, Bouchon, and Model Bakery, as well as savory nuts. We are a bit nutty (but proud of it, by golly!) Pine nuts with Sauvignon Blanc, Pistachios with Zinfandel, and walnuts (from our own trees) with Cabernet! We'll debut our new vintages of Estate Zinfandel and Rutherford Perspective, as well as break out some older wines from our private cellar. At 2pm on Saturday, we'll add to the fun with a magnum drawing. Special "day of" discounts for Passport holders. Don't forget to take home a warm pecan treat!

William Harrison

William Harrison is a family-owned estate and winery producing high quality, limited production ultra-premium Napa Valley wines. The family has been producing wines in California since 1902 and our Harrison Estate Wines come exclusively from the family’s 10-acre estate in Rutherford, CA at the corner of Zinfandel Lane and the Silverado Trail. The Estate was planted in the early 80s. This Estate’s production averages less than 2,000 cases per year.
